Memebox Special #59 Scrub 2

Kia Ora!

I was drooling over the products in the first Memebox Scrub box, and knew I had to have this box. I can't wait to see what's inside. Scrub products are so great to have around, and often smell delicious. It's weird but I like to slough off the dead skin and see a clean, sparkling face (or legs/other body part) afterwards. What can I say, I've always been a bit odd.

Look at how many arrived in one day. Gosh, how will I keep up with the blog writing, and the trying out of products?

Tonymoly Gold Black Sugar Mask 100ml

Yay a mask! Although I'm not sure I need any more as the masks are taking over my chest of drawers! This is more of an exfoliatior than a mask I think, as you are supposed to exfoliate and then leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes. I'm cool with this, especially as I've tried the Oasis Beauty Fruit Smoothie before and loved it. It's actually on my wishlist right now, so we'll see how this compares.

RRP: $7
Full size.

Pure Smile Jewelry Scrub Amethyst 100ml

Apart from jewellery being spelt 'wrong' (drat American spelling), I'm really happy to see this scrub. I saw it one of the Colour boxes I think, and was tempted to go and find it to buy myself. I love purple, and amethysts, so I am keen to try out a product that has amethyst powder in it. I know there probably isn't much in there, but I'm going to feel super fancy using this anyway!

RRP: $10
Full size.

ddung Family Peeling Gel 120ml

Oooh a peeling gel. I see that it has grapefruit in it (along with aloe vera leaf, centella asiatica and chamomile extracts) so I'm excited to open it! There was a value set on Memebox recently for this brand, but otherwise I've never heard of it. Here's hoping it's a good one.

RRP: $18
Full size.

ProYou S Special E/B Creamy Peel 50g

Another peeling exfoliator. This one looks much more medical/scientific, and with no cute designs isn't quite as appealing as the ddung one. It doesn't say much on the card, but luckily the box is mostly in English - which is a first for me. Usually I just disregard the writing as I have no idea what it says. It could be telling me to become an astronaut, go through a black hole and eat snails in order to get glittery gold skin for all I know. Probably not, but the possibility is there.

RRP: $48
Full size.

Beauty Firm Rubbing Jelly Scrub 60ml

Now here is something completely out of left field. This is a jelly scrub made of argan oil, apricot seeds and panthenol, which is used in conjunction with the silicon bristles to polish heels and elbows. I like the sound of that. I don't have big problems in these areas, but looking after your heels and elbows is always a good idea! I'm really really excited to have this and can't wait to try it out.

RRP: $7
Full size.

Pureplus+ Skin Freyia Foot Peeling

Foot peeling things freak me out. I am honestly not that keen to peel the skin off of my feet. I might give this a go, but probably not until winter (when nobody will be looking at my feet but me).

RRP: $12
Full size.

Total value of the box: $102

I quite like this box. I would have prefered some more physical scrubs (like the ibelivyu Sugar cubes I've used and loved), but everything in it is pretty cool. I'll use all of the products, although I'm still a bit iffy about the foot peel. We'll have to see.

No Memebox discount codes as yet (they are probably still on holiday - which they well deserve at this stage) so I'm sure we can all be patient. I'm hoping for some excellent boxes in 2015!

I was lucky enough to be given some homemade scrubs for Christmas too. A coffee and lemon scrub, made with coconut oil. My clever sister-in-law gifted them to me, and they will go well with the products from this box. Has anyone else tried making their own scrubs before?

Until next time ...
