Happy Mail Subscription February 2015

Kia Ora!

I've been seeing quite a bit around the blogosphere about this subscription and thought I'd check it out.

Happy Mail is a monthly subscription run by A Beautiful Mess, and includes various cards and postcards, stickers and other stationary items. It is between $15-$20USD, and this depends on the length of time you subscribe for. I've signed up for a 6 month subscription, and I'm really excited for all the awesome stationary I'm going to have to play with.

This subscription is only $2 for international shipping, and it comes in this great looking envelope. It is very skinny, but made of sturdy cardboard so you know that your stationary is protected. I love the cute paper planes on the package, it makes me very excited to rip into this and see what's inside.

Empties - February 2015

Kia Ora!

Hey everyone, see, look at me keeping my promises to do monthly empties! Bow down and worship! (Just kidding, but I really am proud of myself for keeping this going). Sorry this is a day late, I had to go to a family funeral yesterday, and didn't have a chance to get at a computer! Sorry!

February seemed to be the month where everything ran out. My box of empties is looking significantly fuller than it usually does. I was quite upset about finishing one product in particular, but we'll get to that later and you can all endure my pain with me! (Again with the kidding, I'm in a weird mood).

This is going to be long, so grab a cup of tea and settle in!

The grand total of what I've used up recently. Phew! (And the computer keyboard in the background, oh the joys of dating a computer nerd).

Etude House February Haul

Kia Ora!

Etude House had a free shipping event recently, and I've ordered from them before so have been making a wishlist and waiting for the next free shipping opportunity! I fell in love with their cotton pads in December/January, and couldn't wait to get my hands on some more. I had to make up the rest of the haul with some random things, but I am so excited to have received them! There was a fine balancing act between keeping within the weight limits, and over the $50 for free shipping, but I made it! Warning: some things I bought are a birthday present for a friend, so I can't show them in this haul post.

All of the goodies together.

Mamie Blue Mask Review

Kia Ora!

It's time for a mask review. I received the B & Soap Mamie Blue in my Dirty Gal Memebox back in November (I think?), and have recently started using it as a night time wash off mask. I really like it, and want to share how it works with you all.

It's often referred to as the 'smurf mask' because you look quite blue when you put it on. The Memecard has a wee description of the mask, and we'll see if it lives up to the hype.

Project Pan - Update 1

Kia Ora!

I took the photos for this update on time, but life got in the way and this post is a bit late. I'm gonna blame it on work being busy, and me being sick the last week. Urgh. Oh well, on to looking at how I'm going with this Project Pan business.

Pacifica Skincare Green Fig Hand and Body Lotion

Woohoo, look at that progress! I've used a green vivid to do the marks for update 1 so it's really obvious at a later date.

This one is on track for finishing, and my legs have been smelling great. Good job me!

Masked Madness #2

Kia Ora!

I've finally found the time to write the second installment of Masked Madness. Mostly these are masks from Memeboxes, and are hard to get hold of again, but I have a plan to do a rather large mask haul later in the year from some of the online Korean beauty shops. Read on for my opinions on these masks.

Illi Hanbang Bio Mask

This mask came in two pieces, which makes it great for fitting it to individual face shapes. It didn't have any slits as many masks do, but to make up for it the nose piece covered the nose area really well. This mask smelt overwhelming sweet and fruity, and had plenty of essence in the mask. It had a slightly cooling effect. The essence didn't sink in well after the removal of the mask, and left my skin a bit sticky, but it did feel very smooth.

Empties December 2014 and January 2015

Kia Ora!

Look at this. I'm actually following through and bringing you the more relevant empties post. Go me! I haven't finished much this month, but February is looking like it will be a big month (especially with some of my Project Pan items nearly finished).

Dove Daily Moisture Shampoo

This is the pair to the conditioner from November. I finished it up eventually, although there was plenty of wastage. I'm not even sure it's completely empty. Oh well. The bottle looks really manky as it has been in the shower for so long (18 months or more). The shampoo is quite nice, no complaints, but I just wanted this finished.
